Once the Game is over, pawn and king go to the same box.
The second couplet is my fav. It evokes so much emotion even in a literal sense. A man who has spent the whole life setting up a house and then he feels like one bit of packed luggage lying in the corner of an untidy house...is it futility of materialistic pursuits, the ultimate destiny of middle class ambitions... the mid-life crisis..there are so many levels at which I can relate to it.
